A simpler way
to connect your notes.
Sign in with Google. Approve ChatGPT. Ask about the notes you saved.
Install the preview
Extract the extension ZIP from your host. In Chrome or Brave, open the Extensions page, enable Developer mode, choose Load unpacked, and select that folder. Pin Keep Context from the extensions menu.
Connect Google Keep
Open Keep Context. Enter your Google email and invitation code if requested. Check the service hostname, read the connection notice, then click Connect Google Keep and allow the one-time permission.
Complete Google's sign-in
Use the Google tab that opens. The extension handles the connection token. If Google stays loading after “I agree,” reopen Keep Context and click Finish connection. Wait for Keep is connected.
Add Keep Context in ChatGPT
Click Connect ChatGPT. For this preview, choose Plugins → Add → Create custom MCP server. Name it Keep Context and paste the URL copied from the extension. Keep OAuth and dynamic client registration selected, then create/install it and choose Connect.
Approve and ask
On the final connection page, check the Google account and ChatGPT return address, then click Allow ChatGPT directly on that page. In a new chat, select Keep Context with
@and try “Search my notes for weekend trip.”
If something gets stuck
The popup closed
Reopen it. A submitted connection keeps its progress.
Your browser restarted
Reopen Keep Context. A verified account reconnects with its saved browser key. If Google sign-in had not finished, start that sign-in again.
Google sign-in expired or failed
Choose Start over, or use Connect Google Keep again when offered. Complete a fresh Google sign-in. You never need to find or copy a cookie yourself.
The ChatGPT request ended
Click Return to ChatGPT, then choose Connect again. Google Keep stays connected; you do not repeat Google sign-in. If your approval was saved, choose Finish ChatGPT connection instead.
You added a new note
Ask again after a minute. The next read refreshes the notes from Keep.
You want to disconnect
Use Disconnect Keep in the extension to delete the hosted account and revoke ChatGPT's access. Removing the extension by itself does not delete that account. Google device/session access can be revoked separately in your Google account.
Fresh browser sign-in has been manually verified for the preview. Inline ChatGPT approval still needs its browser check. Consumer Google Keep access is unofficial and some accounts may be rejected. See what has been tested.
